Dear colleagues
It has been a long time since the last congress of The E g y p t i a n Association for the Study of liver and Gastrointestinal Diseases (EASLGD) was held physically in Cairo. The circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic related social distancing and curfew prevented convening in 2020 and 2021. Now, our distinguished congress will be re-launched in 2022 under the theme of (Updating Hepatogastroenterology Practice in the Era of Climate Change and Covid-19) as both Covid- 19 and climate change represent a serious existential challenge to the human race on our planet earth. The congress will be launched in the hybrid form to give the participants the chance to share either physically or virtually through an internet link. Over 3 days, the scientific program will cover all the updates in the fields of Endoscopy, Hepatology , Gastroenterology, climate change impact on the gut, Covid-19 impact on the liver and the gastrointestinal tract. The scientific program will be executed by a high caliber national and international expertise through collaboration with local and international societies and organizations. The concomitant learning and training centers for Endoscopy, EUS and US will be launched over the three days of the congress. We are looking forward to meeting you in the congress.
